Dumping of non-domestic waste in the bin store is very costly for Owner Management Companies. It is a cost that gets added to management fee and then passed back to tenants in the form of higher rents.
Including concrete, timber, paint, car parts, batteries.
Large items like fridges, washing machines and dish washers but also all electrical items.
Chairs, tables, shelving, as well as buddies & strollers
Can be brought to a local charity shop.
Can be brought to the local bring bank.
Plastic bottles & cans can be brought to your nearest Return Scheme centre.
It can't go in the bin store...
Items like mattresses, fridges and washing machines can often be taken away when a new item is delivered.Items often dumped in the bin store are: Christmas trees, floorboards, clothes horses and ironing boards. See below.

Sometimes it's not obvious how to dispose of an item.
See our list of items common to apartment blocksClean and dry paper & cardboard; plastic packaging; and, tins and cans. Those are the only items that can go in the Dry / Mixed Recycling bin.
The recyclced item should be made of a single material. It should be dry, clean and loose.
Please crush and fold cardboard boxes
No soiled or wet items

Residual waste is what is left after the previous 3 steps. It is another term for general waste.
Typically this will include soiled items, like nappies and tissues; used items like tin foil and cling film; as well as broken and mixed material items, like toys.
Open the door and go inside. Do not throw your bag from the doorway.
Place the rubbish/recycling in the appropriate bin, not on the ground.
Make sure cardboard boxes are crushed and folded.
There is a release button or latch inside the bin store to open the door as you leave.
Please ensure that the door is closed after you.
The consequences are often far from the mind of the residents who cut corners when using the bin store
When people leave the bin store, they do not think about it again. However, actions have consequences as this snowballing pile of rubbish shows.
Please do no throw you bag or contaminate the waste streams.
Someone else while have to clean up after you.
In the photo opposite a resident drags their bag before it splits at the door.
Make sure the person going to the bin store is capable of lifting the bag. We would suggest no children.
